The map is a comprehensive illustration of the interconnected networks, it shows existing elements and those under construction.
High-voltage cables/lines with towers designed for voltages of:
220kV and higher
110 kV to 150 kV in the areas of Cyprus, Denmark, Iceland, Iceland, Israel/PA and Norway
110 kV to 150 kV if these lines cross national frontiers and are operated by TSOs
All existing power plants and those under construction with NGC (Net Generating Capacity) equal or higher than the values indicated in the following table are displayed on the map even if they are not connected to the high-voltage network.
We're using some a new technology to bring our new maps, called WebGL. So sometimes things don't always workd as planned. Unfortunately this does not work with older web browsers like Internet Explorer 7/8/9/10.
It would seem that your browser does not support WebGL.
If you're using Internet Explorer 11, this may be caused by using IE compatibility mode when using www.entsoe.eu
This map is a comprehensive illustration of the transmission system network operated by members of the European Network of Transmission System Operators. This means that network elements are not located at their real geographic location.
In general the map shows all transmission lines designed for 220kV voltage and higher and generation stations with net generation capacity of more than 100MW.
